Mel Hooper is an endorsed Educational and Developmental Psychologist and Board Approved Supervisor (BAS) with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and a Member of the Australian Association of Psychologists Inc (AAPi).
Mel has a passion for working with Neurodivergent kids, teens and young adults as well as supporting their families. She has a breadth of experience providing psycho educational and Developmental assessments.
Other areas of experience and interest include working with adolescents and pre-teens experiencing mood disorders, behavioral and adjustment difficulties. She is enthusiastic about supporting and including families within the process of providing therapy for their child/adolescent by providing parenting support both in private sessions and through the provision of parenting programs. Mel enjoys facilitating evidenced based group programs that center on fostering coping strategies and further developing social and life skills in young people.
Mel has a keen interest in supporting provisional psychologists and new graduates throughout their professional journey.
