About Dietetics
A Dietitian (Dietician) can ensure that your child is meeting their nutrient requirements needed for optimal health, growth and development.
What is a Paediatric Dietitian?
Paediatric dietitians help babies, children and teenagers to achieve optimal health outcomes through dietary education and support. They support children and their families to ensure adequate nutrient intake, improve food choices and learn to eat a variety of food from the 5 core food groups.
Your paediatric dietitian will assess your child’s nutrient intake, food choices, growth and medical condition, as well as your circumstances. They will then work with your child and your family to decide what nutrition, food and feeding plan will best help your child to achieve optimal health and wellbeing.
