Provisional Psychology Internship Program
Let the Youthrive team support you on your Provisional, Graduate and Early Career Psychologist journey!
Explore our Psychology Internship and Graduate Program
Are you a Provisional Psychologist seeking a paid internship position? Due to complete your internship pathway? Or are you part-way through your internship and seeking another organisation to support you in achieving all your required competencies?
When you join Youthrive we understand that offering extra opportunities for support, self-care, flexibility and alignment with your clinical interests can be a big help.
Program Overview
This program focuses on providing our interns with the opportunities and supports required to demonstrate the eight core competencies required for general registration. The program encompasses psychological practice, supervision and professional development activities to meet AHPRA requirements.
During the internship program you will be supported to apply the skills and knowledge developed in your studies to practical clinical settings and have access to a growing library of report writing templates, intervention resources, standardized assessment kits and questionnaires to support your development.

Lead your learning
Our interns, graduates and early career psychologists will have access to a wide range of unique learning experiences to help them grow and develop at Youthrive. These opportunities enable our psychologists the possibility to design their own clinical experiences and lead their learning.
We strive to offer individualised support that is flexible, adaptable and in line with your clinical interests and goals. We will work with you collaboratively to identify growth opportunities for your development that will enhance and deepen your knowledge, skills and practice as a psychologist.
As every clinician’s learning needs and goals are different, we provide the opportunity for our psychologists to diversity their experience at their own pace.
Over time you have the opportunity to learn:
- COLLOBORATE with other allied health teams in our multidisciplinary assessment clinic and explore diagnoses of Autism or other developmental difficulties
- CONNECT with school students and spend one day per week providing services within a school environment
- CREATE a range of child, teen and parenting group programs to clients in the areas of engagement and friendships, emotion regulation, social skills and independence
- GROW within a multidisciplinary model and provide support in case discussions with other disciplines and joint multidisciplinary sessions with clients
- FACILITATE the delivery of professional development topics to the wider community such as local kindergartens
- SUPPORT diverse client populations and presentations including children and adults and gain exposure to complex case formulation and management
